Illustrator Tutorial: Candy Lane

March 27, 2018

As a child, I loved the Candy Land logo. In this tutorial, I show you how to create text inspired by the classic children’s board game! Watch the tutorial below, and if you’re interested, download the example file for the complete uppercase alphabet. I’ll take you step by step through the process of creating a pattern pattern brush that you can modify and reuse. From a blank artboard to a finished text effect, I think you’ll find this tutorial very informative, and I have to add, pretty sweet!

Example File:

You can download the file below!  I had a bit of work into this, so I’ve set a minimum price of $5, but feel free to pay what you want. Thanks!

Are you able to use the letter font from your file?

  • Jun 7, 2021 — Doug Keeling:

Sure! It’s not a straight-up font that you can install and use in the traditional manner, but you can certainly manipulate the graphics for each letter and use them however you like.
